We love our VTech. We us these to watch our twins. I can use the monitor or I can log into the App and watch them whenever I want. I watch them some from work. We don't constantly have to go in their room and take a chance on waking them. I like that I can move the cameras to get a better view. They were easy to setup on our WiFi and we mounted to each crib as they are still infants.
Almost perfect, video quality is great 720p is not bad. the option to have motion recorded is amazing. Never miss a moment. However on top of all the good things it has a big down side. While it is a wireless camera and it does have an option to be directly connected to a router. The connection when using the app to talk through the camera is horrible. Hardly works. But use the portable mini tablet that does not need to be plugged in at all times and it works fine. A lot of feed back however when the voice comes through the camera since the Mic is right next to the speaker. Also since I don't think it is mentioned on the box or description it does have night vision and it is VERY clear. tried it out looking into my living room and could see clear to the other end. The camera is adjustable but using the tablet and sliding in the direction you want to look. Having a small arrow display would be nice but it gets the job done. You can also set preset viewing directions for different angles. Overall this is a great product.
Freezes - if I didn't have the radio playing I wouldn't know if it's working properly. Useless to rely on
Battery dies extremely fast while in view.
The worst thing i ever bought, it doesn't work at all, useless.
I bought this a few months ago and the cord is already broken, won't charge and so the monitor won't turn on now because it can't be charged. So we haven't been able to use the monitor in weeks
Worst monitor ever! The battery dies within an hour, the camera scans the room itself like it has a mind of its own, there is a huge lag (I can hear her crying downstairs and the monitor shows fast asleep), the touch screen feature broke being dropped 1 foot off the couch to the hardwood, would not recommend
I bought this monitor thinking it would be a great buy for my new baby, turns out we returned it within a week. The video would freeze for upwards of 5-10 minutes. There were instances where I looked on the monitor and the baby was asleep in his bassinet while I showered and when I got out of the bathroom a family member had him up because he woke up crying, and the monitor still showed him sleeping in his bassinet. Doesn't make much sense to have a monitor that isn't reliable.
Unfortunately this monitor is useless. The parental unit constantly freezes, lags and disconnects. When I read previous reviews of this happening I assumed it was the persons internet. I have 120mbps internet that does not disconnect and I still had problems. The app itself actually had no issues shockingly, but that's not helpful for overnight sleeps or if you want to use your phone. It's to bad because when it worked the camera had great picture and seemed to have some cool features. An unreliable baby monitor is not okay though. very unsafe and at this price point there should be zero issues.
I wish I could give less than one star. I bought this today and am returning it tomorrow. The quality and picture is great but the battery life .. just awful! Its dropping 1% every minute. So basically it will last 100min. What good is it if I have to have it plugged in at all times? And i don't want to have to use my phone as the monitor all the time.
